H2 Logic to supply hydrogen fuelling station
for Uno-X Hydrogen in Norway
H2 Logic A/S, a leading manufacturer of hydrogen fuelling stations and part of Oslo Stock Exchange listed NEL ASA, has been awarded a contract for one H2Station® fuelling station for Uno-X Hydrogen AS in Norway. The station will feature onsite electrolysis production delivered by the sister company NEL-Hydrogen and utilize local solar energy. The station will be the first of a planned network of 20 hydrogen stations in Norway onwards 2020.
Uno-X Hydrogen is a joint venture between NEL and the leading operator of conventional fuelling stations in Norway UnoX. The aim is to build a network of hydrogen refuelling stations, where fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) can operate between all the major cities in Norway.
The stations will be deployed in cities like Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, Kristiansand, along with corresponding corridor locations. The target is that FCEVs can drive between the most populated cities in Norway within 2020, making FCEVs a convenient choice for vehicle owners.
The first station to be supplied by H2 Logic, will be located in Kjørbo a central community just outside of Oslo and next to some of the busiest roads in Norway with 80 000 cars passing daily.
The onsite electrolyser supplied by NEL Hydrogen will use solar power from the nearby building “Powerhouse Kjørbo” which can supply upward of 200 000 kWh each year, ensuring a 100% renewable based hydrogen supply.
The hydrogen station network in Norway will benefit from the experience gained by H2 Logic in building the world’s first countrywide and 100% renewable based network in Denmark. The Norwegian network applies a similar joint-venture approach as used in Denmark, where the network is build and operated in collaboration with major oil, energy and gas companies.
